International Gateways
For visitors arriving by air: Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Calgary International Airport or Edmonton International Airport are the three main international gateways to Vancouver Island. Visitors can be on Vancouver Island and up on the mountain from the mainland within a couple of hours of departure from any of these gateways with connecting direct, daily scheduled flights to Comox Valley Airport and from Vancouver to Campbell River Airport
Comox Valley International Airport (YQQ) offers regular scheduled direct flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR), Calgary and Edmonton International airports serviced by Westjet, Central Mountain Air and Pacific Coastal. The airport is located within a 30 minute scenic drive of the mountain.
Campbell RiverAirport (YBL) offers regular daily scheduled flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) as well as seasonal services from Seattle by Kenmore Air and is 45 minutes from the mountain.
For visitors arriving from Seattle: The Port Angeles to Victoria COHO Ferry service to Victoria is a popular route. On arrival in Victoria allow approx 3.5 hours for the scenic drive North to Mount Washington Alpine Resort.
