Mount Washington Opens early for the Resorts 31st Winter of Operation on Saturday 28th November, 2009
The resort will be opening the mountain to skiers and boarders for the start of the resort’s 31st winter of operation two weeks early on Saturday 28th November, 2009 (weather permitting). Operations will run daily until April 11th 2010  . . . The coming season promises to be an exciting one for Mount Washington and summer grooming preparations and early snow have ensured that our slopes are ready to open ahead of our scheduled opening of Decmber 11th, 2009!

Located mid-island, Mount Washington is a unique mile high alpine to surf destination that offers ski in/ski out accommodation for more than 4000 people. 650 hectares (1600 acres) of amazing downhill terrain with ocean views, terrain parks, a world-class Nordic centre with 55 kilometres (33 miles) of trails, a biathlon centre and a further 20 kilometres (12 miles) of gentle slopes and rolling hills for snowshoeing enthusiasts.
