Mount Washington Alpine Resort is celebrating it's 30th year in operation this season. Since it first opened in 1979 this popular winter destination boasts some of the best snow records and conditions in British Columbia, with an average of 10.5 metres of snowfall every season and an almost insurmountable record of 18.5 metres 10 years ago . . . to say nothing of the spectacular ocean views from the mile high summit!

Mount Washington All-Season Alpine Terrain
In the Winter: 1,600 acres of great alpine terrain with runs for all levels of experience including 400 acres of advanced terrain in the outback on the north side of Mount Washington where our newest Quad Chairlift the Boomerang loads and unloads from both sides.
An average snowfall of 950 cm makes Mount Washington the destination for skiing & snowboarding December through to April.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort offers a world class Nordic Centre with 55 km of Cross Country Trails and 20 km of Snowshoeing trails to explore during your stay and was awarded the Best Snowshoeing Award by Ski Canada in 2007. The night lit, lift accessed Ozone Tubing Park will offer hours of fun for kids of all ages and non-skiers or apres ski family entertainment.

Mount Washington borders Strathcona Provincial Park and accesses a number of trailheads to the numerous lakes, lookouts and mountain peaks located in this beautiful alpine environment with everything from wheelchair accessible boardwalk trails through to multi-day trekking and climbing routes . . . making the resort an ideal base camp for hikers and climbers in the spring, summer and fall
