Mount Washington "all season" Alpine Resort is a privately owned resort community located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island BC. Since it first opened in 1979, this popular winter destination has boasted some of the best snow records and conditions in British Columbia, with an average of 10.5 metres of snowfall every season and an almost insurmountable record of 18.5 metres 12 years ago ... to say nothing of the spectacular ocean views from the mile high summit!

Mount Washington All-Season Alpine Terrain
In the Winter: 1,700 acres of great alpine terrain with runs for all levels of experience including 400 acres of advanced terrain in the Outback on the north side of Mount Washington, where our newest Quad Chairlift the Boomerang loads and unloads from both sides.
An average snowfall of 950 cm makes Mount Washington the destination for skiing and snowboarding December through to April.
Mount Washington Alpine Resort offers a world class Nordic Centre with 55 km of cross country trails and 20 km of snowshoeing trails to explore during your stay and was awarded the Best Snowshoeing Award by Ski Canada in 2007. The night lit, lift accessed Ozone Tubing Park offers hours of fun for kids of all ages and non-skiers or apres ski family entertainment.
In the summer: the terrain is transformed into 35 km single track trails and 1657 vertical feet of downhill riding and one of the best mountain bike parks in BC. Mount Washington's Bike Park offers 17 trails - accommodating novice, intermediate and advanced riders, a downhill race course and a proline/slopestyle course with two highspeed lifts to get you up to the top.
For those not wanting the adrenaline rush of our Bike Park there are scenic chairlift rides and hikes from the summit to enjoy before playing a round of Disc Golf or Mini Golf or having a go on our Bungee Trampoline.
Mount Washington borders Strathcona Provincial Park and accesses a number of trailheads to the numerous lakes, lookouts and mountain peaks located in this beautiful alpine environment with everything from wheelchair accessible boardwalk trails through to multi-day trekking and climbing routes . . . making the resort an ideal base camp for hikers and climbers in the spring, summer and fall.
