New Winter Activities for 2010/2011
Stay and Play at Mount Washington, then add to your experience with the following exciting winter activites:
Mount Washington Guided Off Piste Skiing & Day Touring
From
$150 CDN per person/per day (at 4:1 ratio) or
$80 CDN per person for a half day tour.
Mount Washington offers some fine powder stashes on the shady aspects outside the area boundaries. Join
Island Alpine Guides as they let you in on the secrets of the Mount Washington backcountry. Tours can be done simply on your regular alpine skis using the lifts and vehicle shuttles to get back up for subsequent runs. Or if you are interested in doing a little uphill touring as well, we can incorporate touring inserts and skins with some lift access for a more traditional touring day.
Objectives can be chosen to meet skiing abilites but you must be at least an advanced/intermediate skier and have had some experience skiing in natural snow conditions. If you do not have this experience we reccommend a Mountain Top Private Session with the Mount Washington Ski School to prepare you for your backcountry adventure.
