Winter at Mount Washington



Mount Washington is Vancouver Island's premier winter destination with a consistent record for the deepest natural snowpack in Canada (average snowpack 10.5m) and a unique Island location that offers spectacular, ocean and mainland mountain views from the mile high summit.

Skiers and snowboarders will enjoy over 60 Alpine trails accessed by 9 lifts, while Nordic sport enthusiasts will have access to 55kms of scenic cross-country trails and a World Class Nordic Centre that will be home to international Olympic teams as they acclimatize and prepare for the 2010 Olympics.

Mount Washington Alpine Resort’s world-class Nordic Centre has 55 kilometres (33 miles) of trails, a biathlon centre, night lit trails and a further 20 kilometres (12 miles) of gentle slopes and rolling hills for snowshoeing enthusiasts . . . link to Nordic Facilities & Stats Page
Regardless of age, everyone can have fun on the mountain on our lift accessed and night lit Snow Tube Park.
Mount Washington offers a natural choice for family, university, school or corporate groups, and independent travellers looking for the ultimate winter vacation in a safe, friendly environment.   There is a wide choice of chalets, condo's and suites in the village for rent throughout the year  . . . but we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.  Popular Midweek Packages are also available through our on line reservation system and  managed rental pool.

1 triple chair, 1 double chair, 1 platter lift, a handle tow.
Lift Capacity: 12,200 riders per hour
Day Lift Operations 9am - 3:30pm, Daily
Night Skiing Operations Thurs/Fri/Sat - 4:30pm - 9pm, Christmas + Easter/Spring Break: 4:30pm - 9pm
